Workshop aimed for developing “Biodiversity conservation and Protected Area Rules (Final Draft)” including comments from Myanmar National Portal and revising by Forest Department was conducted in order to obtain suggestions from all stakeholders in Royal Nay Pyi Taw Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw at 17th July, 2019.
U Zaw Min (Deputy Director General of Forest Department) delivered opening speech and all stakeholders; representatives of ethnic groups, CSOs, NGOs and INGOs, discussed and gave suggestions for this workshop.
In order to become Draft Rules for “Biodiversity conservation and Protected Area Rules”, Forest Department organized 7 workshops step by step before this workshop and collected suggestions. 752 suggestions collected from previous workshops were revised by Forest Department and send to Myanmar National Portal to get comments. This workshop was conducted to get comments and suggestions from all stakeholders for revised draft rules.
